US Assistant Secretary Blake to visit Sri Lanka

Dec 05, Colombo: Robert Blake, the Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs of the United States Department of State is to leave for Sri Lanka on a two-day official visit.
The State Department said Friday Assistant Secretary Blake will be in Sri Lanka from December 8-9. He is visiting Sri Lanka as a part of the regular bilateral relationship.
According to State Department, this will be Blake's first visit to the country since he was appointed as Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs.
Blake, who was the former US Ambassador in Colombo, is expected to meet with government officials, political leaders, and civil society.
