* Sri Lanka President asks students to respect peace and ethnical values

Dec 04, Galle: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa today called on the country's students to become citizens who love their country and respect peace and ethnical values.

Addressing the audience as the chief guest at the annual prize giving of Sangamiththa Balika Vidyalaya at Galle today, the President said our leaders established Buddhist schools in the country with the hope to create an intelligent younger generation with moral values.

He told the students thinking positively and taking action will help the country to become a prosperous nation. The girls today will be the future leaders of the country, he said.

Minister of Vocational and Technical Training Piyasena Gamage and the Principal Mrs. Saraswathi Dahanayake also participated in the event.
