Indonesian government donates a stock of essential food items to Sri Lanka

Mar 29. Colombo: Indonesian government today handed over a stock of essential food and other items to Sri Lanka for distribution among the internally displaced persons in Vavuniya.
Visiting Indonesian Foreign Minister Dr. Hassan Wirajuda handed over those items to his Sri Lanka counterpart Minister Rohitha Bogollagama in Colombo this evening.
Minister Bogollagama said 500 metric tons of rice, 2 metric tons of essential medicines and another 2 metric tons of baby items are among the essential items in the consignment.
Foreign Minister said that his Ministry hopes to dispatch those essential items among the IDPs in the coming days.
