Sri Lanka and Indonesia to sign agreement on visa exemption

Mar 29, Colombo: Sri Lanka and Indonesia are to sign an agreement on visa exemption tomorrow in Colombo, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said today.
According to the Ministry, the visiting Indonesian Foreign Minister Dr. Hassan Wirajuda and Sri Lankan Minister of Foreign Affairs Rohitha Bogollagama will sign this agreement at the Presidential Secretariat tomorrow morning.
Under the agreement the citizens of Sri Lanka and Indonesia could travel between the two countries without obtaining visas, the Ministry added.
Indonesian Foreign Minister Dr. Hassan Wirajuda has arrived in Sri Lanka this afternoon for a two-day official visit on an invitation from his Sri Lankan counterpart, Minister Bogollagama.
Dr. Wirajuda is expected to meet President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Rathnasiri Wickramanayaka during his Sri Lanka visit.
