Mar 29 Colombo: Further inflaming the internal crisis in Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP), some members of its rebellion group have gathered yesterday in Colombo to discuss the current issues.
UNP sources said that the main topics of yesterday's discussion were the current schemes of party leader Ranil Wickremasinghe, unexpected change in the Hambantota District parliamentarian Sajith Premadasa and the attacks on rebellion members carrying out by some newspapers favorable to Ranil Wickremasinghe.
The rebellion group says these current actions are taken under the advice of the party leader Ranil Wickremasinghe.
The rebel members have deeply discussed over the future activities to be taken on those issues, but failed to reach a final decision. They have decided to hold further discussions over the matters in the coming days.
