* LP gas prices to go further down in Sri Lanka

Jan 05, Colombo: Sri Lanka government hopes to further reduce the LP gas prices from next March.

Speaking to the media Consumer Affairs Minister Bandula Gunawardena said that as global LP gas prices ease the government is accordingly able to reduce the price of a gas cylinder further.

The amount of the reduction is not available yet. Sri Lankan government reduced the LP gas prices with effect from December 30th midnight. The price of a Shell gas cylinder was reduced by Rs. 166 and Laugfs Gas has been reduced by Rs.276.
