Jan 04, Vavuniya: Sri Lanka's government has recommenced the bus service between Vavuniya and Nadunkerny in Northern Province after 18 years.

Officials of the Vavuniya depot said they restarted the bus service this morning following the liberation of Nadunkerny town by the security forces a few weeks ago.

Nadunkerny is located 40 kilometers from Vavuniya on Mullaitivu road.

The people of the Nadunkerny area suffered significant difficulties as the road was closed for the past 18 years, sources said.
