Jan 30, Colombo: Sri Lanka cricket captain Mahela Jayawardena says that his team is ready to take India's challenge tomorrow following the lost in first one day match played at Dambulla two days ago (28).
Speaking to the media during a practice session at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo this evening Mahela said that the team has learned more from their first defeat at Dambulla.
The second one day match between Sri Lanka and India will be played tomorrow at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo as a day/night match. The match is to be commenced at 14:30 local time and 09:00 in GMT.
According to the team manager Sri Lanka will probably play as an unchanged team.
India is likely to recall their master batsman Virendra Shewag, who missed the first one day match due to injury.
Tomorrow's match is very important to Sri Lanka as the great spin wizard of Sri Lanka Muttiah Muralitharan, who only needs two more wickets to overcome Pakistan's Wasim Akram's world record of 502 wickets in one-day matches.
Murali claimed only one wicket in the first match. He now has 501 wickets in his one-day career.
