* Senior journalist questioned by TID in Sri Lanka

Feb 27, Colombo: Sri Lanka Terrorist Investigation Department (TID) has questioned a senior journalist and the convener of the media watch dog Free Media Movement, Sunanda Deshapriya yesterday.

According to the TID sources he was questioned over a letter given by the Free Media Movement to an arrested Tamil Tiger suspect to obtain a media identity.

Deshapriya however, told the media that Free Media Movement hasn't issued any letter to any arrested person to obtain a media identity card.

However government Defence Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said that a Tamil Tiger suspect was given a letter by a head of a media institute in Colombo 7 to obtain a media identity card.
