TMVP releases another group of Sri Lankan child soldiers

Feb 27, Batticaloa: Sri Lanka's Tamil political party, Thamil Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal Party (TMVP) today released another group of child soldiers who had been recruited for its activities.
According to the sources of the TMVP, they have released 250 child soldiers at a special function held in Batticaloa District Secretariat this morning.
The TMVP party said that they have taken measures to release these child soldiers obeying the appeal made by the United Nation organization UNICEF.
The child soldiers released this morning have reunited with their family members at this function, sources confirmed.
Obeying the UN's appeal TMVP party has released few groups of child soldiers at earlier occasions also.
TMVP is a breakaway faction of the LTTE based in Eastern Sri Lanka.
