Remanded Sri Lanka businessman admitted to prison hospital

Feb 27, Colombo: Ceylinco group Chairman Lalith Kothalawela who was remanded yesterday by Mount Lavinia Magistrate has been admitted to the prison hospital at Welikada this morning.
Prison Commissioner General Maj. Gen. Vajira Wijegunawardena said Kothalawela was admitted to the prison hospital due to an undisclosed ailment.
However Prison Commissioner General refused to reveal further details on the Ceylinco Chairman.
Mount Lavinia Magistrate Courts remanded Lalith Kothalawela yesterday over the alleged financial fraud at the collapsed Golden Key Credit Card Company.
Additionally, the Magistrate issued a warrant for Lalith Kothalawela's wife, Cicile Kothalawela rejecting a medical certificate submitted on behalf of her.
