More nurses sent to Tamil welfare centers in Sri Lanka

Feb 26, Colombo: Sri Lankan government sent another group of nurses today to Vavuniya for the care of the Internally Displaced Persons living in welfare centers.
The Health Ministry confirmed that a group consisting of 27 male and female nurses was sent this morning to Vavuniya to replace the nurses currently working at the centers.
The new group is to stay for few weeks in Vavuniya to address the medical needs of fleeing civilians, Health Ministry added.
