* Another food shipment sent to Sri Lankan IDPs in Mullaitivu

Feb 26, Trincomalee: Another stock of essential food items was shipped from Trincomalee Harbour to civilians trapped in Mullaitivu yesterday evening, the Sri Lankan government said.

According to the Resident Manager of Sri Lanka Ports Authority in Trincomalee Harbour Nimal Jayathissa, this stock of essential food items was transported by the SLPA tug, Sinhabahu II.

Th shipment consisted of nearly 50 tonnes of food items including rice, dhal, sugar, vegetable oil, and others, he added.

The food items are to be dispatched among the civilians still in Mullaitivu with the assistance of International Committee of Red Cross.
