Feb 26, Colombo: Sri Lanka police this morning arrested N. Vidyadaran, the Chief Editor of 'Sudar Oli', a leading Tamil newspaper in Sri Lanka.

Police spokesman Senior Superintendant of Police Ranjith Gunasekara said Vidyadaran was arrested to question him over the failed LTTE air attack on Colombo last Friday.

Police spokesman earlier said that the chief editor of Sudar Oli was abducted by unknown people who arrived in a white van, but later confirmed that he was arrested by the police.

According to the sources, he was forcibly taken away by the police when he was attending a funeral of a relative at Mount Lavinia this morning.

Further details of this arrest are not available at the moment.
