Sunday, February 1, 2009, 16:31 GMT, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Feb 01, Colombo: Sri Lanka government has urged the European Union to proscribe all the front line organizations supporting the LTTE.

Speaking to the media at the Bandaranaike International Airport after a successful European tour Foreign Affairs Minister Rohitha Bogollagama said that he has submitted this appeal to the European Union during his tour.

According to the Minister he has urged the European Union to proscribe the Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) especially as it is directly supporting the rebel outfit.

The Minister hopes that the European Union will consider his appeal as the members of TRO are currently creating more problems in their resident countries by forcibly collecting money for the LTTE.

Finally minister Bogollagama said that his European tour was very successful as the member countries have promised to support Sri Lanka to defeat terrorism in every manner.
