Apr 29, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa has instructed the Secretaries of all the Ministries not to confine their work to week days and regular hours.

Presidential Media Unit said President Rajapaksa has made this order at a special meeting held yesterday with the Secretaries of the Ministries.

According to the Media Unit the main goal of this order was to achieve the government targets this year amid the economic crisis.

He ordered all the Ministries to take measures to ensure that disabled persons can access the premises of all government institutions.

President Rajapaksa has instructed the Secretaries to give priority to the vacant state buildings when they need new premises or else rent them out.
