* Remanded Sri Lankan businessman Lalith Kothalawela back to prison hospital

Apr 29, Colombo: Remanded Sri Lankan businessman, Ceylinco Chairman Lalith Kothalawela today transferred to the Prison Hospital from the Merchant's Ward in Colombo National Hospital.

Kothalawela has been in remand since February this year over the financial irregularities of collapsed Golden key Credit Card Company.

However he was admitted to the Merchant's Ward of the Colombo National Hospital after spending several days in prison hospital over a heart failure.

The Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Court last week ordered the Prison Department to transfer Kothalawela back to the Prison Hospital as his condition was not critical.

Judiciary Medical Officer Dr. Ananda Samarasekera has confirmed that Kothalawela has an heart ailment since 2006, but it is not critical.
