Apr 12, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa today visited the injured war heroes receiving treatment at the military hospital in Colombo.

President made the visit to wish the soldiers a prosperous New Year and handed over New Year presents to the injured soldiers. President has also discussed the situation in the North with the soldiers and paid his gratitude to them for the sacrifices they have to save the country from terrorism. The first lady Mrs. Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, commanders of the three armed forces and Inspector General of Police also joined the President's special visit to the military hospital.
