Monday, September 8, 2008, 3:36 GMT, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Sept 08, Colombo: Supreme Court of Sri Lanka is expected to give its verdict regarding G.C.E. (Advanced Level) grading today.

The teachers' unions that led the boycott of grading demanding the removal of salary anomalies were made to discuss with the Ministry officials to get the issue settled.

However, the Chairman of the Ceylon Teachers' Union Joseph Stalin Fernando said that his union was not summoned for discussions with the Ministry although it has been newly named as a defendant of the fundamental rights case filed against the boycott action of the teachers' unions.
