* Sri Lanka opposition parliamentarians will not cross over, says UNP General Secretary

Sept 04, Colombo: Sri Lankan main opposition, United National Party (UNP) today stressed that any parliamentarian of the party will not be crossing over to the government side anymore.

At a press conference held in Colombo this morning the General Secretary of the UNP Tissa Attanayake said, if anyone says there are some members to cross over, it is totally false.

Minister Maithripala Sirisena, one of the senior leaders of the government, yesterday said that 12 parliamentarians of the United National Party are ready to cross over.

Denying the Minister’s statement General Secretary of the UNP stressed, now the discussions are progressing to resolve the party’s internal matters.
