Sept 30, Colombo: The Sri Lankan cricket team is scheduled to leave on Monday, October 6, for the Twenty Twenty series, which will be held in Canada next month.
According to Sri Lankan Cricket Manager Nishantha Ranathunga, the players have already begun practice sessions for the tournament.
A 15-member squad has been named for the Twenty Twenty series, which will take off on October 10.
Sri Lankan Sports Minister Gamini Lokuge granted permission for this squad last week after a series of discussions.
Teams from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Canada and Zimbabwe will take the pitch in the series.
