Sept 29, Colombo: For the second time today, Sri Lanka Air Force fighter jets attacked an LTTE target in the Kilinochchi District this afternoon.

Air Force spokesperson Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said the air raid targeted an LTTE gathering point located 2.5 kilometers north of Wannerikulam at about 4.10 PM today.

According to sources, the raid was carried out in support of the 58th Division’s troops, who are engaging in heavy confrontations in the area.

Pilots confirmed that the target was accurately hit.
