Sept 29, Gampaha: At least one person was killed and another 20 passengers were injured in a train accident in Ganemulla, Gampaha, this evening.

The main control room of the Sri Lankan Railway said a Kandy-bound intercity train and a Meerigama slow train collided at Ganemulla at about 4.00 PM today.

The injured persons have been admitted to the Gampaha hospital. Director of the hospital Dammika Mayadunna said a few are in critical condition.
