* Sixteen injured due to a train accident in Sri Lanka

Sept 29, Gampaha: At least 16 passengers have been injured in a train accident in Ganemulla, Gampaha this evening.

Main control room of the Sri Lankan railway said Kandy bound intercity train and slow train heading to Meerigama had collided at Ganemulla at about 4:00 p.m.

The injured persons have been admitted to the Gampaha hospital.
