* Sri Lanka President at the UN General Assembly

Sept 23, New York: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa attended the 63rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York this morning.

President Rajapaksa will be addressing the General Assembly Wednesday (24) Morning. Health Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva, Education Minister Susil Premajayantha , Foreign Secretary Dr. Palitha Kohona, Permanent Representative to the UN H.M.G.S. Palihakkkara were also attended the meetings.

Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the UN, President of the 63rd Session of the General Assembly Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann, US President George W. Bush and French President Nicolas Sarkozy on behalf of the European Union addressed the Assembly among other world leaders.
