Sri Lanka President visits New York Buddhist Temple

Sept 22, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa visited the New York Buddhist Temple yesterday evening after his arrival in New York.
President offered Atapirikara to the Chief Incumbent of the Temple Ven. Walpola Piyatissa Thero and other resident monks and received blessings.
Ministers Nimal Siripala De Silva and Rohitha Bogollagama, Permanent Representative to UN H.M.G.S Palihakkara, Sri Lanka Ambassador Jaliya Wickramasuriya, and expatriate Sri Lankans from New Jersey and New York area were also present.
