Sept 21, New York: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived in New York today to attend the 63rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.

President was welcomed by four children, Menaka, Ahmed, Viyath and Silvina of Sri Lankan expatriates in New York. Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama, Permanent Representative to UN H.M.G.S Palihakkara, and Sri Lanka Ambassador Jaliya Wickramasuriya were also present.
