Sep 16, Colombo: Sri Lankan Prime Minister Rathnasiri Wickramanayaka arrived in Japan on Monday for talks with his counterpart Yasuo Fukuda.

A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said that the visiting Premier will participate at the opening ceremony of the Sri Lanka Cultural Heritage Exhibition in Tokyo today. Sri Lankan government has co-organised the event with a Japanese newspaper company.

The spokesman said the Sri Lankan PM is scheduled to meet the Japanese Premier Wednesday (17) afternoon.
