Sept 01, Colombo: Employees' Trust Fund (ETF), the private sector workers' social security system of Sri Lanka, has been opened for the self-employed workers as well, ETF Chairman K.M.A. Egodawaththa said.

ETF targets to offer the membership for around five million self-employed workers of the country. A special promotion has been planned at district level in this regard.

ETF has a fund of Rs. 78 billion and the bulk of it is invested in Treasury bills.
