Oct 09, Colombo: Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) states that only one unauthorized financial institution out of the six black listed so far has sought registration process before the grace period given for registration expiring in two weeks.
According to CBSL sources, Sakvithi House Constructions of No. 08, Nawala Road, Nugegoda, Okanda Finance of no. 22/1 A, Vaidya Road, Dehiwela, Nadini Finance of no. L-02/17, Reality Plaza, Ja-ela, D.K. Udayasiri of no. 412/2, Gala Junction, Kiribathgoda and 187/B, Wedisinghe Trade Complex, Kurunegala, Piyadasa Ratnayake alias `Danduwam Mudalali` of Gurupokuna in Hungama, and Sriyavi Homes, Lands and Investments of no. 283, Dandugama, Ja-ela are included in the list.
CBSL plans to take legal action if those businesses are not registered before the end of the grace period on October 24th.
