* Sri Lankan Air Force destroys LTTE camps

Oct 09, Colombo: Sri Lankan Air Force fighter jets have carried out two air raids on LTTE targets in Mullaitivu district this morning.

According to the Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, fighter jets have destroyed two LTTE camps in Pudukudirippu, Mullaitivu at about 7:45 a.m.

These air raids were launched to support the ground troops currently engaged in heavy battles in the area, Air Force spokesman added.

Pilots have confirmed that the targets were accurately hit.
