Oct 06, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa today vehemently condemned the suicide attack by suspected Tiger rebels in Anuradhapura that killed 27 people including the opposition party leader of the North Central Provincial Council, retired Major General Janaka Perera.
Speaking at a ceremony to distribute lands to the landless at Uyanwatta, Matara today, President called upon everyone to put aside all differences and unite for the success of the ongoing campaign to eradicate terrorism in the country.
He urged the public to be cautious as the LTTE facing severe losses are now attempting to create violent backlashes in other parts of the country.
The President expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and called on blessings for the speedy recovery of those injured.
