Oct 05, Colombo: Government of Sri Lanka has decided to implement the much awaited Ceylon Electricity Board Act from next month.
Minister of Power and Energy, W.D.J. Senaviratne addressing a gathering today in Colombo said the Act was delayed due to the proposals made by the activists, public, and the employees of the Ceylon Electricity Board.

“We have amended the Act as per the proposals and will be implemented from November onwards. This Act is targeting the speculative selling off of the Ceylon Electricity Board,” he said.
