Oct 04, Colombo: Sri Lanka Police Department has recently recruited 18 officers into the grade of Assistant Superintendents.

According to Police Department sources, these officers include three women. It is the first time to recruit officers to a higher rank on a probation basis.

The newly recruited offcers include, P.A.B.N. Pallearachchi, M.L.D. Jayadewa, C,M.N.T. Kumara, A.B. Hakmana, S.S.K. Siriwardena, N.J.P. Silva, B.D.T.P.A. Weerasinghe, K.P.P.B. Samarapala, P.P. Sugath Kumara, P.M.K.D. Paliskara, P.M.R. Raweendra, A.H.N. Asanka, A.P.U.C. Herath, K.G.L. Geethal, M.P.A. Perera, Miss. H.W.I.S. Muthumali, Miss. P.P.J.M. Ariyasena, Mrs. H.M.L.R. Amarasena.
