Oct 03, Colombo: Sri Lanka District Court of Colombo has issued an injunction order preventing a poster campaign displaying slogans against Fonterra Brands and selling Raththi and Anchor.
Posters have sprung up in the city against the New Zealand based due to the recent melamine incident reported in China. Fonterra owns 43 percent of the Chinese dairy company, San Lu troubled with the melamine poisoning.
Fonterra Bands which is a subsidiary of the New Zealand's Fonterra, the sixth-largest dairy company in the world, reported to the Court that all dairy products sold in Sri Lanka are made only from New Zealand and Sri Lankan raw materials and not from any contaminated Chinese milk and is safe for human consumption.
