Oct 31, Colombo: New S-10 Power sets imported by Sri Lanka Railway will start running on tracks from tomorrow.
The new trains will be put on track in a function to be held under the patronage of Minister of Transport Dullas Alahapperuma tomorrow morning at Colombo Fort Railway Station.
Sri Lanka has ordered 15 power sets from China after a lapse of nine years and a part of the contingent has already arrived in the country. The rest is expected in the coming months.
The strength of power sets of Sri Lanka Railway will be increased up to 45 with the addition of new locomotives.
