Oct 31, Colombo: Colombo District Judge Sisira Ratnayake yesterday ordered Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe to appear before the Court on December 17.

The district court overruled the preliminary objections filed by the Opposition Leader's counsels and decided to continue with the Contempt of Court Case against him.

The Opposition Leader is charged with contempt of court regarding submitting false affidavit pertaining to a petition against his pact with Sri Lanka Freedom Party - People's Wing leader Mangala Samaraweera.
