Oct 31, Colombo: Sri Lankan Supreme Court today dismissed a Fundamental Rights petition lodged by a group of investors of Sakvithi Housing Construction who sought compensation from the Central Bank.
The Supreme Court ruled that the Court couldn't intervene in the matter as it was a problem between two private parties.
Supreme Court Judge Gamini Amaratunga said that the investors should verify the actual situation of such financial institutions before investing their money.
At the moment total complaints against Sakvithi Ranasinghe had risen over 2,000 and police said investigations are underway to arrest him immediately.
