Oct 29, Colombo: Twenty two of the 92 milk powder samples that were sent by Sri Lankan health authorities have already been cleared of melamine contamination. Health officials are waiting for the reports of 70 more specimens.

The reports are expected to be received by next week.

Sri Lanka Health Ministry has spent over three million rupees for laboratory testing of milk powder samples in Singapore, sources said.
