Oct 14, Colombo: Government of Sri Lanka reportedly has taken over 1,000 hectares of land to be used for its development agenda.

According to sources, these lands acquired by the government will be used for development programs of Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Highways and Road Development, Ministry of Local Government and Provincial Council, Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs, Ministry of Urban Development and Sacred Area Development, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
