* Major General Janaka Perera's children vow to continue their father's plans

Oct 10, Colombo: Addressing the large gathering visited to pay last respects to the late United National Party (UNP) North Central Province Opposition Leader, Major General Janaka Perera, his four children vowed to continue their parent's plan to help develop the country.

According to media reports, Janith Sanjiv Perera, Ashanka Upul Perera, Janukshi Chamila Perera, and Shehara Swendrani Perera have also said that their parents loved the people of Anuradhapura and wanted to help them have better living standards which will be achieved with their returning to the country after completing their current study pro grammes in Australia.
