Nov 05, Dambulla: Registering a disappointing beginning to the historical Windies women's cricket tour, Sri Lankan women cricketers today lost the first one day international match played in Rangiri Dambulla Stadium.

After winning the toss this morning Sri Lankan captain invited the Windies to bat first and bowled out the West Indies team with 167 runs. In reply Sri Lankan team managed to get only 127 runs. The second match between the two sides is scheduled to play at the same venue on Friday (Nov 07).
