Sri Lanka::
* Troop movements continue despite the hostile weather in Sri Lanka's North
Friday, November 28, 2008, 6:23 GMT, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Nov 28, Colombo: Sri Lankan troops undeterred by the hostile weather in the battlefronts continued their forward movements towards Kilinochchi.

Soldiers of the 57 division and the Task Force 1 are currently lined up along the western and southern boundaries of the Kilinochchi built up and moving in with no hurry considering weather and the terrain, the Defence Ministry said.

However, the heavy rains that lashed the terrain for the past few days have unearthed anti personnel mines and booby traps posing a great danger to the troops, defence sources said.
