Nov 28, Colombo: Sri Lanka government has estimated that the defense budget of the year 2008 would be exceeded by around 30 billion rupees amounting to 200 billion rupees for this year.

The government had earlier allocated 166.5 billion rupees for the Defense Ministry.

The government is expected to bring a supplementary budget in the parliament to raise this additional amount soon.
