* Russia and Czech Republic agree to help Sri Lanka government to destroy Tiger war planes

Nov 02, Colombo: Responding to the request made to the international community, Russia and Czech Republic have come forward to help the government of Sri Lanka to destroy the small aircraft of the Tamil Tiger air wing.

Government of Sri Lanka has requested help from the international community to counter the bombing of strategic locations in the country by the Tamil Tiger terrorist organization.

With the agreed help these Czech built Zlin Z-143 aerobatic trainer aircraft are expected to be destroyed soon.

Tigers have reportedly acquired five aircraft one of which was destroyed by the Sri Lankan fighter place following the attack on Vavuniya Air Base.
