Friday, November 21, 2008, 14:20 GMT, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Nov 21, Colombo: Sri Lanka Minister of Information Anura Priyadharshana Yapa says India is managing the pressure from South India and following a great diplomatic policy without hindering the sovereignty of Sri Lanka.

Participating in an interview with the state owned daily Dinamina, the Minister said that India and Sri Lanka have close relations and there was no pressure from India against the way Sri Lanka faces the terrorism.

Denying the allegations of an Indian intervention, the Minister said that certain elements in the country create a fear of India every time the Tigers are weakened.
