Nov 21, Anuradhapura: An accidental explosion during a training exercise killed two Army soldiers and another injured 13 at the Lindawewa Army training camp in Nochchiyagama, North Central Sri Lanka this afternoon.

Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said that the incident occurred due to a misfire.

Injured trainee soldiers have been admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital.

Military spokesman said there are no further details available on this incident yet. Army and the police are conducting further investigations.
