Nov 19, Colombo: Sri Lankan security forces have decided to limit the distance of the Medawachchiya bound train with immediate effect in preparation of LTTE's Heroes Day commemoration event.

Security sources took this decision to tighten security as the LTTE war heroes’ week called "Mahawiru Week" to commemorate their perished members is approaching.

According to the sources Colombo- Medawachchiya train is limited to the Anuradhapura Railway Station with immediate effect.

Additionally security forces have commenced special search operations on railway stations to safeguard the train passengers.
