Nov 19, Colombo: Sri Lankan Air Force fighter jets carried out a night time raid on LTTE stronghold at Pirappawedduwan in Mullaitivu district last night.

According to the Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara a LTTE training center in Pirappawedduwan located 10 km northeast of Oddusudan was targeted at about 10:50 p.m.

Defence sources said when the air raid was conducted a large number of LTTE cadres were training inside the camp.

Pilots have confirmed that the target was accurately hit.
