Nov 18, Colombo: Sri Lanka's major opposition United National Party (UNP) national executive council will meet on November 22, party sources say.
The executive council is expected to discuss the arrangements of future elections. Several crucial decisions will be taken at the meeting, a party spokesman said.
UNP national convention is to follow the executive council meeting. It is scheduled to be held on December 04.
UNP seniors' committee appointed to restructure the party has proposed to appoint a deputy leader and assistant leaders for the party.
